Lam Zhou is one of the most famous hole in the walls in NYC’s Chinatown…and a bona fide dump but who cares. It’s delicious. The hand pulled noodles are a tad too dough-y for me, but the dumplings. The dumplings are so delicious. The wrapper is thin and the filling is perfect — just like Japanese gyoza.
Once you eat one, you’ll never be able to eat those thick skinned dumplings (or potstickers) ever again. Though these marvelous dumplings may be a blessing in disguise, as ignorance can be bliss — especially with food and preparation that is hard to come by.
